2013 Passat Lf Door Does Not Lock

Purchased the car new and the issue started at around 42k miles.

Another symptom of a potential problem with the power door lock actuators are door locks that behave erratically. I have a similar issue with my 2015 jetta tsi door locks but wanted to run this by you. The door lock works in only one direction. Locks work from the switch but not the remote.

The battery is likely dead and needs to be replaced but the remote s may also need to be reprogrammed to work. Power door locks do not function. This issue also indicates a bad lock actuator. Intermittent issue that driver s door lock would not lock with key fob.

If this happens the problem is with the remote.
